    How to Deploy AI Bot to Telegram

    Create a Telegram bot with @BotFather

    Open Telegram, search for @BotFather, and send /newbot. Choose a name and username for your bot. BotFather will give you a bot token — copy it. This is the only Telegram-side setup needed.

    Pick your AI model in ClawMate

    In the deploy wizard, select your framework (OpenClaw for full features, ZeroClaw for speed), then choose your AI provider and model. Paste your API key.

    Paste your Telegram bot token

    In Step 3 of the wizard, select Telegram as the channel and paste the bot token from @BotFather. Set the DM policy — open (anyone can message your bot) or restricted (only specific Telegram user IDs). Optionally add a Groq Whisper API key for voice message transcription.

    Add optional skills, customize the system prompt, and click Deploy. Your bot will be live on Telegram in under 60 seconds. Open Telegram, find your bot by its username, and send a message — it responds with AI.
